Absences

Reporting a child's Absence due to illness

Please state clearly your child's name (first and surname) and class

Please give reason for absence - details of their illness/appointment​

Should your child have an early morning doctor, dentist or hospital appointment a message can be left on this number. A copy of any relevant letters will need to be given to the school office.

 

Unfortunately, if we do not receive any information explaining your child's absence for their time away from school they will be marked as unauthorised on the school attendance register.

For all other absences, a Request for Term Time Absence Form should be completed. This can be obtained from the school office or click on the link to download a copy. ​Requests for term time absence should be made at least 14 days before the start date.

 

Please note, the school does not authorise term time absences unless there are exceptional circumstances. Unauthorised absences may result in a fixed penalty notice (fine).
